COVID-19 Screening App

The “COVID-19,” available in the app store will ask users questions about symptoms, location and risk factors and then provide the appropriate up-to-date guidance from the CDC. This app is designed to provide authenticated information to the users. The information can also be reviewed at the Apple website that will be accessible to the users of Windows PCs, Android phones, and other non-Apple devices. Along with the new COVID-19 app and website, customers across the US may also ask Siri, “How do I know if I have coronavirus?” to access guidance and resources from the CDC and a curated collection of telehealth apps available on the App Store. Apple keeping the privacy issues in mind declared that it will not collect the answers users give to the app and website’s questions and that the answers will not be shared with either Apple or any government entity. Anyone in the US who is 18 years or older can access the screening tool and resources today by downloading the COVID-19 app on the App Store or visiting apple.com/covid19.
